Clous de girofle

The buds are plump and oily, way more fragrant than the jar I used to get at the grocery store. I dropped two into a pot of rice and the whole kitchen smelled warm and sweet. Genuinely potent stuff, a little goes a long way.

Tossed a few into my morning chai and the flavor was way more intense than the jarred stuff I had before. Whole buds, so they actually keep their oils instead of tasting like dust. A little goes a long way, which is nice for the price.

These buds are surprisingly potent—one sniff and my whole kitchen feels warmer and spicier. Grinding a few for a curry tonight gave the dish that deep, aromatic kick I was hoping for.
