ヤロウ

I've been drying the flowers for tea and the batch arrived with whole heads intact, not crushed to dust like some I've ordered elsewhere. Flavor is earthy and a little bitter, so I usually mix it with mint. Nice to have on hand again.

Steeped a tablespoon in hot water for ten minutes and the floral, slightly bitter taste came through just like the yarrow tea my grandmother used to make. The dried herb is clean with barely any stems, so a little goes a long way.

The dried flowers still smell fresh and earthy, way better than the dusty stuff I used to get. I add a pinch to my evening tea and it's become a nice little ritual. Steeping a full teaspoon for about ten minutes gives a smooth, not-too-bitter cup.
